Osteopathy is a distinct system of
diagnosis and treatment, which is complementary to orthodox
medicine. Osteopaths work with their hands using a range
of treatment techniques. There are now over 2,500 osteopaths
working all around the UK, treating a variety of conditions
including pain in the lower back, tension headaches and many
types of joint strain. All qualified osteopaths will have
an academic qualification indicated by DO (Diploma of Osteopathy)
or BSc (Ost) after their name.
