Back pain can be caused by so many different factors. Run through your daily routine (sleep, work, transport, even play) and examine the amount of strain you place on your spine. In addition, Look at your stress levels - stress can create muscle tension, causing a loss in flexibility that can lead to back pain. To reduce stress, try exercise, Yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, getting more sleep or listening to music.

Stop smoking

Smoking puts you at increased risk for back problems since your blood has trouble delivering oxygen to working tissues, making your back weaker.

Adjustments

Think about how you might have to make adjustments. If you don't make any, where do you see yourself in a year's time, five year's time?

If you have been a pain management programme you may have heard it said many times - if we don't change, then we will get the back we deserve. Harsh words I hear you say - back pain is harsh. Over the past years I have seen so many nice people lose their jobs, money, marriages and relationships. Change is difficult but will make life easier.
